Hojaldre relleno de pera y mermelada al horno

Puff pastry filled with pear and jam, baked

Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. A puff pastry that smells like home.

Some recipes don't need to be complicated to shine. This pear puff pastry is one of those you make almost without thinking, enjoying the process: spreading, grating, folding… and letting the oven work its magic.
The natural sweetness of the baked pear, the sweet touch of chocolate, the nuts, and that final glaze of jam create a simple yet special dessert, perfect for sharing during a leisurely after-dinner chat or for indulging yourself without excuses.

And yes, here the grater takes center stage once again. Because grating walnuts, chocolate, or ginger on a handcrafted ceramic plate isn't just practical: it's part of the ritual.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • Peach jam (or your favorite)
  • 2 pears
  • Walnuts
  • Pistachios
  • Chocolate
  • Fresh ginger

Step by step

1. Prepare the base
Place the puff pastry sheet on a large plate. Spread a thin layer of jam on the base: this will be the first touch of sweetness.
2. Add the fruit
Peel and slice the pears and arrange them evenly over the puff pastry.
3. Grate and enjoy
Grate the walnuts on a grater and scatter them over the top. Do the same with the pistachios and chocolate. Each grating adds texture, aroma, and flavor.
4. The special touch
Grate a little fresh ginger and squeeze its juice directly over the filling. Not too much: just enough to surprise.
5. Close the puff pastry
Fold the puff pastry towards the center, covering the filling. Brush the surface with a little more jam for a shiny finish.
6. Into the oven
Bake until the puff pastry is golden brown and crispy. The aroma will let you know before the clock does. Extra tip

Serve it warm, as is, or with natural yogurt, a scoop of ice cream, or a hot infusion. It works just as well as a dessert or a special afternoon snack.

Because when you cook slowly, with simple ingredients and handmade ceramics, the result always tastes better.
