THE PERFECT BRUNCH: Toast with pear, honey and Parmesan cheese

TODAY'S RECIPE: SUMMER BRUNCH! Spoiler alert: It won't take you more than 3 minutes to make, and you probably already have all the ingredients... we're not pretending to be MasterChef, either.

A refreshing and healthy mix that combines the sweetness of pear with the fresh touch of arugula, the sweetness of honey, and the saltiness of Parmesan cheese. This toast is a perfect option for those looking for a light and nutritious meal.

Let's get started! To prepare this incredible gourmet toast, you'll need:

  • 2 slices of rustic bread or your favorite bread 🥖
  • 1 ripe but firm pear 🍐
  • A handful of fresh arugula 🥬
  • Honey 🍯
  • 100g of Parmesan cheese 🧀
  • Extra virgin olive oil (a must!)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

 

Instructions:

1. Preparing the Toast:

  • Toast the bread slices until golden brown and crispy. Please don't burn the bread! 🙏🏼

2. Grating the Ingredients:

  • Wash the pear well and grate it using a grater, leaving the peel on if you prefer.
  • Also, grate the Parmesan cheese.

3. Assembling the Toast:

  • Place a layer of grated pear on each slice of toasted bread.
  • Add a handful of fresh arugula on top of the grated pear.
  • Drizzle a little honey over the arugula for a touch of sweetness.
  • Gently sprinkle the grated cheese over the arugula and honey.
  • Add a touch of salt and pepper to taste.

FINAL TOUCH *but not least*: Drizzle a little extra virgin olive oil from the oil cruet over the toast to add extra flavor and a touch of shine.
